E-Siriwat (Online Learning)

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Education dated 9 April, 2020, the opening of every school under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, will be on July 1, 2020. The educational institutions shall provide education in accordance with the emergency situation announcement due to the corona virus outbreak 2019 or Covid-19. Siriwat Wittaya School is aware of the importance of this announcement and with concern for all students to receive continuous education while waiting for the regular semester. Therefore, we have organized additional online learning or E-School from Monday to Friday between 11 May to 19 June 2020. This teaching and learning is for every class from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 12. The class schedule is arranged by the Sections to teach according to the course content via Zoom Application and Google Classroom. There are various media uses, including the use of supplementary materials from the textbooks, practice and sending homework via online media for students to have fun learning. Students will have a chance to interact with teachers and friends, attendance will be taken and completion certificates will be given to those who attend minimum 80% of online lessons.

The school wishes to inform parents to know and prepare as follows:

  • E-School Siriwat is a part of the teaching and learning according to the content in the curriculum, in which all students need to attend.
  • E-School is free of charge to review previous semester lessons and prepare for the coming academic year. The parents are requested to pay minimum two installments of tuition fee and textbook fees before starting E-School on May 11, 2020. (If you have already paid to register to study 5,000 baht in advance, the amount can be deducted from the tuition fee.)
  • For other fees, the school will ask you to pay after the regular semester is opened.
  • Payment of textbook fees and tuition fees, you can pay via various methods according to procedures enclosed with this letter.
  • The Sections will allow students to attend online classes after you have paid the two installments of the tuition fee and completed paying for textbook fees.(We sincerely apologize if you already made the payment).

E-Siriwat (Online Learning) Frequently Asked Questions

E-School Siriwat is a free of charge preparation program for the Academic Year 2020/21 in May and June (from May 11 to June 19) exclusively for Siriwat Wittaya School English Program students. As most of the private schools, Siriwat also requests the term fees before starting the academic year, hence paying at least 2 installments of tuition fees of the first term and the textbook fees will suffice for registering the free 6 weeks’ preparation courses, namely E-School Siriwat.

The online school will continue with increased number of periods as in the normal school year up to 8 periods a day. It is highly advised to get used to online system in May and June for all the parents, students and teaching staff.

It is not compulsory but highly recommended, as students physically and psychologically cannot study uninterrupted ten consecutive months without a break. Our plan is to assist the teachers and students shoulder heavy load of the subject syllabi and make 10 months of the consecutive study period as smooth as possible for them.

No. Although the school year will be automatically extended for at least 2 more months due to the Covid-19 situation, Siriwat Wittaya English Program will try to manage and carry on without requesting any other extra fees from our dear parents. However, half of the school tuition fees and textbook prices, as in the invoices given earlier in March will be required to enroll in the preparation courses.

It is not compulsory but highly recommended, as students physically and psychologically cannot study uninterrupted ten consecutive months without a break. Our plan is to assist the teachers and students shoulder heavy load of the subject syllabi and make 10 months of the consecutive study period as smooth as possible for them.

Depending on the age and the load of the curriculum, sections are organizing timetables tentatively as follows;

  • KG1-KG2:   2 periods/day
  • KG3:            3 periods/day
  • G1-6:           4 periods/day
  • G7-9:           5 periods/day
  • G10-12:       5-6 periods/day

E–School (Online Learning) Siriwat will start to deliver content according to the teaching and learning curriculum designed by school sections and free-course registrations that will take place just after the required payments are made, so late payments may result in late entry to classes.

We highly recommend each student having access to the IT tools above in their homes. In the case that students don’t have them at the moment of class streaming, students can reach Google Classroom and obtain the works covered in each class. Class materials will be shared with students in Google Classroom.

Students will receive a completion certificate by the end of 6 weeks course and their success level will be recorded. 

The finance section will reduce the amount of pre-registration fees from your invoiced amount (hence you can pay five-thousand baht less than other parents who did not pre-register last year).

Our school has set-up summer classes for only 40 minutes due to the Zoom application limitations, but for the E-School (Online Learning) Siriwat, Google Meet, Google Classroom will have added tools so that longer periods of classes can be conducted.

Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom and other 3rd party applications as deemed by subject-departments including but not limited to CK-12, Quizlet, Khan-Academy, IXL, Raz-Kids, Starfall, Kahoot.

Assessments in schools can be given in various types, exams are only one of them which also can be given online. For the validity and authenticity of the evaluation methods, school will be using performance-based assessments and formative assessments in increased ratios to eliminate bias of tests conducted behind the screens.

The school will inform all the stake-holders (students, parents, and staff) as early as possible after the Ministry of Education announces its precise calendar for the country in June or July.

All the accounts have been created and are ready to be given to the students when they register for the E-School (Online Learning) Siriwat classes.

During the online E-School Siriwat, every teacher will have 1 hour of online-office hours with the parents, and parents are most welcome to appoint times for consultation with the teachers.

So far, there has been no support promised to the school from any governmental body. Siriwat Wittaya English Program has been operating on the fees it’s collecting from our parents since its establishment.
