 | SWBS has organized a Turkey trip for Mattayom students. They visited several cities with their amazing natural and historical beauties. During the trip, our students had the opportunity of visiting some sister schools and meeting with their students. Turkey's history of human habitation goes back to 25 thousand years ago. Some of the earliest-known civilizations were built here. Hittites, Phrygians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Seljukis, Mongols, Ottomans and others have all left their works of art and culture in Anatolia, now the Turkish homeland. So there are many historical sites to attract a visitor’s attention. Our tour started in Istanbul. All roads lead to this historic city and there's a lot to see and do! Our students visited almost all of the well-known tourist attractions in Istanbul. Then, they visited Denizli, home to one of the 7 wonders of the world, “PAMUKKALE”. It took long time for kids to leave this fabulous world heritage site, as they were amazed with the pure white look. Visiting Afyon city that is famous with its old castle remained from the time of Hittites, and hot springs was great fun. Kutahya city that is famous with its Ottoman ceramics gave us the chance of meeting with one of the most famous artists alive of the Ottoman ceramics. It was a great honor to see his exhibition and artworks. Bursa city with its natural beauties was simply unforgettable. |
